Read Across America Week

Hi Friends!

Last week was so much fun...it was Read Across America Week! We had awesome theme days and did lots of reading and literacy activities.

Police officers came to read stories to us! It was fun to see grown-ups reading silly Dr. Seuss stories.

We also had a special visit from Mayor Green. He let us ask him questions about being the mayor and read books to us, too.

On Wednesday night, we got to come back to school with our families. In the gym, there were tables with fun reading and math activities. It was so nice to see the students teaching their parents all about the apps we use in the classrooms with our ipads. We had a magician come and do fun tricks for us!

Throughout the week, different teachers teamed up so the students could read with each other. The 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders did an excellent job reading and listening to their younger buddies!
