100th Day!

Hello Readers!

Sorry it's been a while since I've written...we've had A LOT going on the past couple of weeks!

In February, we celebrated the 100th day of school! Since this matches up perfectly with the kindergarten learning goal of counting to 100 in different ways, there was plenty of math going on!

Students brought in collections of 100 items. There were 100 pencils, 100 paper clips, 100 crackers, 100 beads, and even 100 stickers! It was neat to see how different 100 could look. 100 pencils definitely looked bigger than 100 beads, but they were the same number.

To practice counting to 100 by ones, students lined up and counted different sets of objects in the hallway. They also built towers of 100 blocks.

Making special 100 day snacks was fun, too! We got to practice counting by tens while mixing our delicious ingredients.

The 100th day was awesome!

Your Friend,

Bean Bear
